Candice here, taking over for the week!
Okay, so while this feature was not necessarily enjoyed in the ambiance of an exquisite restaurant or cafe, we thought we would take a moment to share it on the blog because it looked just too picture perfect. Fine…maybe I thought this maybe a tad more than Chris… but isn’t it pretty looking?! My real life personal version of an Andy Warhol painting, just with banana bread!
Having a little extra time over the long weekend allowed me to have some fun in the kitchen. Nowadays a moment to myself is hard to find but when my husband allows me to take a step back, more often than not my go to choice is to cook or bake. With that in mind, I noticed my overripe bananas in the fruit bowl and decided to bake a simple loaf cake from scratch. Yum!

A little flour, baking soda and powder, sugar, organic bananas – because who doesn’t like to indulge in some pure fruit nowadays. Then some cinnamon, nutmeg and a whole lot of TLC ultimately created my banana bread masterpiece. So here is your friendly reminder for the week, sometimes you have to make a little time for the things you love to do even when among the day to day monotony. It can be a real game changer as you dive into the next work week and can start things off on a real good note! Happy creating, friends!
Cook on the bright side,
Candice
I love banana bread!
